Behold this post from Mother Sheehan's bus tour bulletin board. The Buddy in question is Cindy Sheehan's attorney, Buddy Spell.
The stories related purport to be from Buddy Spell:
I finally got through 09-07-05 10:11pm, just got off the phone with Buddy!
It was great to hear his voice.
He sounded great. He was updating me on conditions in and around Covington and believe me it doesn't sound like we're getting the whole story from the press.
This is unreal but if you put yourself in the shoes of the people in that area you might find yourself reacting in the same way. It's really incredible to imagine but it seems that the Covington National Guard [sic] was forced to barricade themselves in their headquarters to guard against an angry mob of approximately 30 citizens.
According to Buddy the citizens were armed with handguns and were going after the guns in the armory. Buddy said that they would have pictures available in a few days of the National Guardsmen pointing guns out of the building at the civilians.
It's fortunate that Buddy and Annie have such a large home because they seem to have created a sort of commune. They have several young people from a grouop called Democracy Now, and of course Veterans for Peace are there. They have taken in a writer as well as a photographer from Readers Digest. He says there's safety in numbers.
It seems that in some parts of New Oleans and the surrounding area it's still anarchy. Buddy said the first couple of nights he sat on the porch with a shotgun. They still hear gun shots at night...
I hate to do this but I do feel that this is to somber an occasion for much levity. I have to finish with this story about what my brothers the "Veterans for Peace" are doing. These men are the heros.
Michael Moore may have mentioned this on his web page but it seems that when the "Veterans for Peace" came into town they started to set up Camp Casey on a vacant lot. The local police came to them and asked them if they could help out with an emergency.
They pulled up camp and went to another site where they have established a shelter for unwanted babies. They started with 2 but now have approx 12-14 babies, that where turned away from other shelters because they couldn't accommodate them.
These men are saving lives. Folks there are so many questions to ask, I hope we have the courage to ask them, and the strenghth to act on the answers. This is a sad addition to our American Heritage.
The local police had to ask the Veterans For Peace to take in unwanted babies that the other shelters (the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Catholic Charities) had turned away.
(By the way, if you want to see the original page of this post you had better act fast. Since I first mentioned this story, they have pulled down the thread. So I had to link to the Google cache, which will not last too long.)
I guess lying is the only way they can get attention. I doubt the Red Cross,Sal.Army, and other major charities would have turned down infants or children.
I'm an Australian, a little to far away to do what I would like to, and that is, telephone the Red Cross and the Salvation Army headquarters and tell them what they are being accused of by this insane woman.
Give them a chance to set the record straight, maybe?
consider it done. I faxed over to a friend who works at the Red Cross and also Faxed one to the area Red Cross Offices and Headquarters. These people like to mouth off and can never back up or have any proof.
WHAT?
They didn't let us know they were Black infants? Now we can't be sure if they are racists. where are the pictures?
I can see it now....Madona Sheehad with little black infants! Looks like they came back to Imperialism.Boy, are they confused...they are supposed to be anti-imperialism.
If you run a search on my other posts of late, you'll see that these same people are pilfering Red Cross supplies and passing them on to their ultra radical friends to distribute--and taking all the credit and trashing the Red Cross all the way.
They have a whole fundraising campaign built upon scamming the Red Cross and the Katrina victims. It is a real outrage.
And Cindy Sheehan is up to her neck in it. As is Michael Moore.

Great! I have always felt that each time one of these lying filth opens their mouth a thousand or more rebutals should come from the grass-roots, and that is all of us!
YIKES
It's kind of frightening that these people are being allowed to take care of babies without social service check on their backgrounds. I'd really like to know if this is true and know whot turned the babies over to them. These children should have been taken by the state social services department.
It looks like they took that photo in an electronics store???!!!

Don't worry. It's all a lie. They just say this stuff to try to get people to send them money.
They will say anything.
The BS meter on this story they are telling is going off the scale.
Interesting statement. I can take a picture & have it emailed to most of the free world in a couple of hours. Less if I use my digital.
I guess they aren't as skilled with Photoshop as they are with Word. Oh, wait, that Word thing didn't work out so well did it? LOL
