Dear Mr. Weiner,
I have good news. I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geocp.

In answer to the question, I do get it now. Where would this nation be in the hands of those leftist, whining idiots. We get an idea from the California experience....

The left is more interested in rebuilding the Democrat Party than they are in rebuilding NOLA and they will stoop to any level.
For sure. The DumRats think of this as nothing more than a huge opportunity for political gain.

Someone got on to me for bashing Nagin/Blanco and calling them incompetent because they were Dems.
I said, erm,
Because they are Dems, they are incompetent to begin with. The term has become synonymous.

Yes I get it...I blame Bush for not declaring real martial law and thus having the worthless governor and mayor stand down (at gun point if necessary) and sending in Gen. Honore on Monday afternoon to federalize and take over the La National Guard while moving in the marines and air borne by Wednesday.... with shoot to kill looter orders. That was the only way to a solution to the mess the locals made...but then there would not be the mess that we all saw develop by Wednesday and the federalized actions would have been seen as unnecessary. It is like a catch22 when you have such inept local leadership. Let the mess develop it is your fault for not stepping in, step in pro-active to avoid the mess and be labeled as a heavy handed imperialist. Take over...you are going to be critized either way. Oh yea, from day one, control the media like it is done in a war zone

I have to admit that I didn't create that graphic. I'm not even really good at doing that sort of thing. But my son is and I'm thinking about asking him to do some for me. He's got a good political mind for satire too. :-) Maybe soon.

Now you yourself can see what we have seen: These guys are way over their heads and haven't got a clue; they're constantly having to come back at a problem in hopes of getting it right the second or third time around.Amazing that this group of evil, yet clueless morons can kick your side's political heinies around the block in each election. I guess the American people are too stupid to see what they're up to. Praise Hillary that we have you to lead us from the darkness.

Yeah, I voted for Bush, even urged everybody I know that they, too, should vote for Bush. And my original judgment is still binding.
Who was running against George W. Bush in 2004? Has anyone done any sort of profile HOW the events would have played out if Bush were not in charge?
If so much energy had not been simply WASTED in trying to CYA and get any potential blame shifted to the Bush Administration, a LOT more would have been done.

The fed gov can not just move in and take over the local/state gov has to request it first Einstein...
I think you hit the point here. for too many Libs there should be NO local government. ALL direction about everything should come from the Feds.I believe that is the underlying message. Locals can't be trusted, and in this case they were absolutely right.

What a bunch of hatefilled filth! Screaming and hating America is not a good platform to run on in 2008.
Don't know - some 50 million people voted for it last time.
