Many adults in the United States continue to question their governments rationale for launching military action in Iraq, according to a poll by TNS released by the Washington Post and ABC News. 53 per cent of respondents think the war was not worth fighting.
Abu Musab al-Zarqawiregarded as al-Qaedas top commander in Iraqhas reportedly carried out several attacks and kidnappings. On Aug. 31, more than 900 people died in northeast Baghdad when a stampede erupted during a Shiite religious procession. Preliminary reports indicate that a rumour about the purported presence of a suicide bomber on a bridge led to the trampling and drowning deaths.
Yesterday, Shiite National Assembly member Jalal al-Deen al-Sagheer questioned Arab states for failing to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation in Iraq, saying, "Why is it that the Iraqi people are getting killed everyday but none of these countries says a word. Why would Spain and other countries send us their condolences while these so called Arab countries did not even say a word?"

They got the idea from spammers...
There were more casualties in one day of a battle in the Civil War or any major WWII battle than we've taken in the entire Iraq war. Either the US has grown incredibly soft or the MSM is lying. I suspect the latter.
Why would Spain and other countries send us their condolences while these so called Arab countries did not even say a word?"
As El Rushbo says, "Another garbage in, garbage out poll."
"released by the Washington Post and ABC News"
Yea baby, with sources like that I'd wanna take this baby straight to the bank.
Looks like there will likely be more casualties in Louisiana because of the stupidity of the Mayor and the Governor and it's still Bush's fault. The US is not only soft but poorly educated and gullible to listen to all this crap from the MSM and believe it.
BTW, In the 10,000s of lines I have read and many, many hours of TV have watched concerning the war in Iraq, I have come across the figure of expected coaltion deaths in this war exactly once. The pre-war estimate according to that source was 3,000. This is a figure that has been completely buried by the MSM, never to see the light of day again.
What kind of bait and how much of it would you have to use to attract that many a**hats at one time?
Please clarify your position:
Pro-gun ownership?
Anti-gun ownership?
I think he was saying that if we only reported the bad things that happen in California, the rest of the US would think it was a quagmire and that CA wouldn't be worth the effort.
"Clarify your position"
My position? It depends on the weapon I'm using. Crouching if I'm using my pair of Brazilian Army-issue Taurus 9mm autos. Prone if I'm using my Vietnam-era XM-14 (also known as an M21).
