I bet Cold Fusion technology saves us. The technology is already being reviewed by the Dept. of Energy.

I want to know when Conservative stopped meaning Teddy Roosevelt and started meaning Hummer.

I'm not a nanny state lover who wants to tell folks how to spend their $$$, but wanton gluttony just strikes a discord in my "politics".

Now, why on earth would they want to discourage the entire universe of intelligent, handsome, and virile conservative bachelors?

Good question! On the other hand, an oversupply of "left-wing liberals" should create a seller's market for Rabbi Lapin's daughters (and mine :-).

I don't think it's unreasonable to think that it's a good idea to use less power. But why on earth does this stupid woman need to have her electric bills skyrocket before she can start saving power? Why not just go out and buy energy saving bulbs, check the insulations, etc., etc., BEFORE the price shoots up, if she thinks that's the virtuous thing to do?

Or does she enjoy watching everyone suffer? Probably, knowing how warming many liberals find that experience.

"...With five single daughters, each more beautiful, brilliant, and gracious than the next..."

I find this statement to be so curious. Not only is it a very self-aggrandizing statement for a holy man (or any man for that matter ) to make, but this putz has just given all but his youngest daughter a terrible insult, one which would be impossible for the older ones to overcome. Gee thanks, dad!

How odd...

they think that is the best way to say “I’m a good, moral person who cares about others

What is really says is that she is a little stupid, thinks emotively and has few if any logical reasoning abilities. Or that she is an arrogant self annointed wannabe elite seeking same. Either way, it's a nice label that helps conservative men avoid expensive divorces.

Um...if there are intelligent, good looking, employed conservative guys who are being rebuffed by liberal "womyn" I know lots of conservative women who are single (and keep getting hit on by crazy hippies).

I can't remember the last time I had a first date (usually a set up, one of those "I know this guy who'd be great for you" debacles) that didn't involve me ordering a few martini's than usual to drown out the liberal stupidity. And what's worse...THEY DIDN'T EVEN PAY FOR DINNER!

I, once again, think Free Republic should start a dating service...no more hippie losers, I say. There have GOT to be some nice Freeper moms with some very nice, clean cut sons that need nice girls. :) hehehe.
