I got up really early today to head back to Camp Casey. On the way, I had some amazing conversations with people. In one of those conversations, I was talking to Tyler who was sitting next to me on one of the planes.
We were not talking about me and what I have been doing. Randomly, he told me he had just been in Texas about an hour north of Crawford. I said: "Wow that's where I am going and that's where I have been all month." He said: "I know I own a television." I thought that was pretty cute.
I got to Camp Casey and I arrived with a mom whose son, John, was killed on January 26, 2005, and his wife and baby, who never met his dad. We arrived in Waco at about 4:30 to the local press. The White House Press Corps was still with the president.
When I arrived at Camp Casey II this afternoon I was amazed at what has changed since I was gone. Now, we have a huge tent to get out of the sun; caterers; an orientation tent; a medic tent (with medics); a chapel, etc.

I've heard people mention this in several threads, but I've seen NO proof of it. I hope people aren't going to run around spreading rumors without solid proof. I think we would have found this out long ago if it were true.
It is sickening - in addition to the OBVIOUS FACT she was not in Crawford all month, more LIES to track down though:
1) [The right wing attacks] just show how much I am getting to them and how little truth they have to tell.
2) What really hurts me the most is when people say that I am dishonoring Casey by my protest in Crawford.
3) He wanted to be a Chaplain's assistant in the Army, but was lied to about that also by his recruiter.
4) The last time I talked to him when he called from Kuwait, he was on his way to mass.
5) For Casey to even join the Army, let alone being killed in battle was the thing that was most uncharacteristic of him.
6) I know when I finally get [to Heaven, Casey's] going to hug me and say: "Good job, Mom."
The ONLY thing I believe from Cindy's speech there was that Casey "was a gentle and kind soul who only wanted to help others" - he proved that all right.
Makes some sense, why would the husband ask for the death benefits (military and otherwise), from Casey. That's harsh (even though the woman is out there), why would you take this from the mother unless you had the kids (oops, kids grown), so what could be the reason?

Rush is really pumping up the freepers going to Crawford and at Walter Reed weekly. He announced that they are there weekly.
Woohoo Hubba Hubba
What is it that makes gay activists come out for any...any cause to make it theirs? At the March for Life as well as the Death March in D.C. there were old liberal nuns, lesbians and gay activists everywhere (hello? is it me, why would this concern you), and they are always the rowdy ones of the bunch. Oh, and the anti-war groups come out as well. Discontents. You made your choice, you want to be equal...then shut up, when you come out it's not a big deal... that's your life. It doesn't have to be displayed. I don't go to the parade every year in pasties and a g-string because I want to be equal.
Mags, how can this woman cry on cue like that? Amazing.
Must be the product of a life filled with acting and not knowing who she is.
Her writing sucks. She needs to go to school.
I can't find it either. And the divorce is ending a 28 year marriage, wouldn't they have split up long ago? This story about her abondoning them is BS. Who is the Hagan guy?
"For Casey to even join the Army, let alone being killed in battle was the thing that was most uncharacteristic of him."
This is one (of many) example of this woman's (lack of) intelligence. I'm not even sure that an editor could help.
