Hehehehehe.
I like McCain. But I don't know if I'd support him for President. And Hagel's recent statements are...uninspiring, at best. He could split the vote and be a real pain in the ass, but I don't see him winning either a GOP primary or the presidency.

If this is true, it is his push for the Veep slot in 2008. Senator Haggis knows that Hillary's best chance for president is if an independent severs independent voters from the Republican party. Republicans will do what they must to prevent the wife of the only elected president ever to have been impeached from becoming president.
Win or lose, Sen. Haggis would then be poised for the top slot.
