Morris Dees, co-founder and chief trial counsel of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which represented the immigrants, said he hoped the ruling would serve as a cautionary tale to land owners or civilian patrols considering hostile measures against border crossers, the AP story reports.
What do you think of the border-crossers getting the ranch?
Note to self.... if I ever get a border ranch... shoot, shovel, and shut up.
I'd heard about this on Savage. I'm just sick to my stomach. Of course this D bag blogger doesn't point out that Gonzalez' accusation changed from being held at gunpoint to pistol whipped and oddly, he doesn't deny that Nethercott gave him food, water and a blanket. Just what anyone would do to someone they'd pistol whipped.
Hey, what's a few lies, some stolen property, a reputation smeared and slandered? You're more enlightened and by any means necessary right Dees?
What does this say about the state of affairs in our country? These scumbag El Salvadorians shouldn't even be permitted to remain in the country long enough to file a suit. Somebody robbed you? Sorry. Get out. Somebody raped you? Sorry. Get out.
This is just disgusting.

This will be appealed. There was no jury on this case and it's pure BS. Monetary awards in such a civil case are BS. The judge is nuts. The illegals were illegal. The ranch owner only needed to serve 30 in the county jail. No one was murdered.
