There seems to be a deafening silence coming from New Jersey these days. You can hear the crickets chirping but nary a word coming from the Jersey Girls. They were all over our TV sets during the Presidential campaign. Kristin Breitweiser, one of the Jersey girls, even campaigned with John Kerry. During the 9/11 Commission hearings and when the final report came out they demanded that President Bush take immediate action. Now that questions have arisen casting doubt on the credibility of the report and the Commission itself, the Jersey Girls are MIA? Last week news broke about an intelligence taskforce called Able-Danger that was aware of Mohammed Atta and some of the others involved in 9/11. During the Clinton administration the agencies were barred from sharing information that could have led to the arrest or at least the deportation of known terrorists.
Jamie Gorelick who was Janet Renos second in command at the Justice Department, and who ironically was one of the commission members, erected a wall between the agencies that made it impossible for Able-Danger to pass on their information to the FBI, and the CIA. The wall conveniently blocked or at least hampered many investigations involving the Clintons such as Chinagate, but it also had the tragic results of impeding investigations on known terrorists such as Atta.
Gorelicks wall was outed during the 9/11 Commission hearing by then Attorney General John Ashcroft. Even though it was shown that Jamie Gorelick played a part in the events leading up to 9/11, she refused to recuse herself or answer questions in public. Nothing about the wall or Gorelicks involvement was included in the Final Report. I wonder why?
If I were Kristen Breitweiser, Debra Burlingame, or anyone that lost a loved one on September 11th, I would be incensed that the commission left out or ignored important and relevant information regarding what was known about the hijackers. Why are they being silent on this? Perhaps it is because it puts the blame on a Democrat administration? Are the Jersey Girls putting partisan politics above gaining answers to why their family members were murdered on 9/11? I certainly hope not, but their past action tells me this may be the case.
I saw Kristin and she was pissed. But, so what? If she wants to participate, she needs to get elected, maybe run for Jon Corzine's gold plated senate seat.
Stop asking. Next thing you know.........
Squeezing into their spandex pants and spraying their hair with Aqua Net. Shhhh, don't bother them.
