I don't get it... why does Pitt want to "fit in" with the unenlightened, knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, bible-thumping, racist, homophobic red-staters that he and his ilk tell us make up the majority of Texas? Shouldn't he be accentuating the differences so that those cro-magnons can be awed by his very presence?

Or is he trying (and apparently, failing miserably) to blend in so as to appear like it's really local suport and not an imported rent-a-mob? (And I use "mob" here very loosely, given the low turnout I expect.)

Or maybe deep down, Pitt really wants to be real man, and this is a chance to act out a fantasy, however briefly.
