Exactly.

Because Islam has been around a very long time people grant it more legitimacy than they would a new cult with similar views. That's a mistake.

Imagine a new cult springs up in ...say... Texas.

Imagine that its followers teach that women should be treated worse than cattle, that children may be used sexually (Mohammed's 9 year old wife ...), that followers should kill nonbelievers to enter heaven and that it is their duty to establish complete control over the day to day lives of all they subjugate.

Imagine they didn't just teach these things but enacted them and supported those that went further.

How long do you think they'd last before the feds shut them down and jailed their leaders?

Tell me again why we allow such a death cult to operate in our mists? Just because it's been around a long time?
