The rest of my previous post is rhetorical boilerplate: it is quite effective when you use it to marshal men to a cause.

And blind reliance on such a formulary relieves men of the responsibility for addressing the fundamental morality of the cause they're being marshalled to support.

The trouble is that the underpinnings of your rhetorical boilerplate are directly counter to the principles on which America was founded. Call me old-fashioned if you like, but I'd just as soon stick to those ideals.
