ZOT! Democratic Underground over the Top?

I was until today a regular at Democratic Underground. I am a believer in free speech and the rights of all. I have discovered a disturbing trend at DU however that may or may not also be true here. In the past week or so the type of articles and information posted has become rather strange. There seems to be daily if not hourly postings of obviously false stories with links to very questionable web sites.

I will admit right off that there are things about FR that I dont like, but I have seen posts and information that most members here may be against, but what I don't see is that information being erased as soon as it is posted. There are trolls here just as there are trolls at any side dedicated to the exchange of ideas.

I was banned from DU after having posted there for over 10 months, and never got to square one with a reason from the DU administration. I posted someting that obviously got someones panties in a wringer--guess I wasn't quite radical enough. I see some specific members over there whose hob it seems to be to be rabble rousers, and when you post something not radical enough they immediately call you a fool or worse, then perhaps your text will be deleted, and in my case after 10 months and over 500 posts, just plain deleted. Beware unto those that question.

If FR lets me post so be it. If you want me gone well just delete this and me and I won't darken your doorstep, but I would like to hear from others that may regularly go there and see if they have noticed a distinct change in that site over the past week to 10 days.
