That's great news on the drive, KP!
Sorry about the brainpain, and that I couldn't have been more help. But I am greatly relieved that you got the problem resolved.
Health to you!

I am surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Dell is starting to move it's support back stateside.
All business support is already back. Good to hear that they are now moving their home support back as well.

I don't know if I was served by business or home support - my beast is a Workstation 530, not a Desktop model

Sounds like it may be a business model.
Feeling better this morning I hope?

It is a business model, but was explicitly ordered for home use.
*shrugs*
I've been feeling better and better for the past couple of days, but my WBC count is still in the "critical high" range (as of yesterday morning). We're giving the antibiotic a couple of days to do its job before running another blood series.
If my WBC count does not dip dramatically by then, then there shall be reason to suspect the flu-like ailment to be independent of something much more rooted and far more dangerous.
And that means... (drum roll please)... really unpleasant diagnostic protocols.

We went for visual stimulation. Six years of eggshell white will do that to ya.

The greatroom, dining nook, and kitchen all have vaulted and trayed ceilings so puttin two coats on meant a lot of ladder and extended roller time.
