His lawyer is his next door neighbor?
Wilson couldn't get any other lawyer to help him?

That pretty sums it up, huh?

I don't understand the connection....why is he involved? It's spin baby... it's whoever gets ahead with the PR offensive. Wilson's probably upset that someone in the beltway suggested that he had to depend on his wife to get a job. It's coming from the publicist, trust me.

interesting MSNBC calls Christopher Wolf "a pioneer in Internet law." And, indeed, Chris was involved in the earliest matters involving the Internet, helping to make new law for new technologies. He was trial counsel for the old MCI in a three-month-long jury trial involving a failed joint venture for Internet-related equipment, where MCI won a complete victory. He represented The Washington Post in a high-profile challenge to reporters' use of the Internet, winning summary judgment. He represented the recording industry in the first successful lawsuits against online piracy. And he was among the first lawyers to litigate domain name disputes, jurisdictional issues and the limits to online and e-mail marketing. A more recent case involved a trademark law challenge to the use of Google "adwords" for marketing purposes.

Wow, there's a dead giveaway...the "Kerry Legal and Accounting Compliance Fund" is something only very serious donors give to -- it's the fund that would have handled any recount and post-election disputes such as Gore pulled in 2000. These funds create a legal way for donors to exceed the $2000 limit on direct campaign contributions.
Maybe it was this guy who hooked Wilson up with Chris Lehane and the Kerry campaign.

Possibly. But don't forget that Wilson worked in the Congressional offices of both Al Gore and Tom Foley in 1985-1986.
He knows his way around enough without anybody's help, I suspect.

"Does this refer to the WP's suit against Jim and FR where the post also won a summary judgement?"
No. In a way it's the other way around. The WP was sued by someone else for copyright infringement:
"In an early Internet-related case, Proskauer -- with Chris serving as lead counsel -- obtained summary judgment on behalf of The Washington Post and two of its reporters in a federal lawsuit brought by the Religious Technology Center alleging copyright infringement and theft of trade secrets and involving important First Amendment issues."
