But this cannot be literally true, otherwise I would recommend seeking help for Multiple Personalities Disorder.
Do these characters really take over, or are you swept away by your own creativity? Furthermore, we exist as imperfect, finite beings. It is one thing to say "we create like God" and quite another to say "God creates like us."

Writers often describe their characters as taking on a life of their own. Don't worry about it. It takes a special skill to write fiction and some of that skill doesn't translate well into English.
