The funny thing about Judith Miller is that up until now the MSM had no use for her. Her reports of our military finding WNDs in Iraq was not helpful to their cause. Now she's Joan of Arc.
It's pretty obvious Rove was not her source on Valerie Plame. So the question becomes, "Who was and who's she protecting?" Certainly not her own credibility since the MSM didn't believe she had any. No, she's protecting somebody and the honchos at the NY Times know who it is.
My belief is she's the one who peddled this around after getting the info from someone trying to run a "Get this President" scheme that went sour. The Dems tried to use this during the election to no success. Remember the link to Joe Wilson's website on the Kerry for President site?
Here's the funny thing: Finally the NY Times has an actual fact that it can report but, rather than report it, they let their reporter sit in jail. Where's Jason Blair when they need him?!
