I don't know about blowing smoke because I have found our vet to be quite reasonable when it comes to what she charges for office visits--$29.00. And they are quite thorough when they examine the pets. Sad to say but they spend more time with our dogs than an MD would on a human being!!

Sounds like you have a good, skilled vet (which is most important, esp. to your critter)...but it also sounds like she is making up the difference in not giving a break on the meds.

I guess however she chooses to make up the charges is her busniness.
