I know the woman who was President of the League of Women Voters in 1992; she moderated the Bush-clinton debates.

You should see what the Collier brothers had to say about 'The League of Women Voters' in the most excellent book, VOTESCAM.

The League of Women Voters (at least back decades ago) were just part of the corrupt machine in many parts of the country...... in line with the old Voters News Service.

I feel like I was able to cop onto the Clintons in early 1992 because our lives in college (1968-72) were so similar.

Bill went to college a little earlier than that, more like my years in college (1964 - 1968). In fact when he was at Georgetown, Clinton was a dorm mate of my best friend. When I played baseball there in D.C. for my University, my buddy and Clinton would show up for the games.

You are so right about "It takes one to know one, been there, done that, etc." We understand the CON of the Clinton rap!

BTW, Clinton didn't really become a "hipster", alienated jerk until after his Georgetown days. Back then he just loved his Arkansas watermelons and laughed a lot.

I'd say at least 75% of the "hipsters" I knew in Pittsburgh from around 1967 through around 1974 were in it for the sex and drugs and were just spoiled generational *ssholes railing against THE ESTABLISHMENT............. I know was............. but I was smart enough even then to know that 'The Establishment' was a necessity, and that there had to be excellent, disciplined, responsible people who could 'run the trains' and build things quite well!
