This is World War III and it is time to start treating it as such.

Here is a news flash for the West. Islamo-Fascit terrorist are responsible for the London bombings. Just as they have been for every terrorist bombing since the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The fact that we are asking this question shows the attempt to appease all the politically correct groups in the West. To all the members of the Left both in the US and Europe; get a clue!

This is World War III and it is time to start treating it as such. While we waste time searching for the identities of the bombers, they are working on their next attack. They are very patient people. They spend years planning each attack.

I agree. I am for an all out assault or "Crusade" if you will. I am not above using the nuclear option either if all else fails. Damn what all the other countries think.

The left cannot "get a clue." So, we fight this war on two fronts. We fight against the leftist idealogues and we fight the Islamofascists they protect, aid, and abet.

"Just as they have been for every terrorist bombing since the 1993 World Trade Center bombing."

Are you including the Oklahoma City bombing in that category? I would. There is compelling evidence to indicate that Nichols and McVeigh received assistance from an Al-Queda cell here in OKC. Nichols trip to the Philippines; and McVeigh meeting with a "person of middle eastern decent" at a cafe here in the city just days prior to the bombing. Also, John Doe II looks to be of middle eastern decent. I know a lot of people think that kind of talk is conspiratorial and a bit kooky, but it's true. The Oklahoma City bombing was a message for McVeigh, but a tool for the Al-Queda. It drew resources that were watching their people away from them and put the focus on domestic threats; of which there were very few.

Al-Queda continues to use diversionary tactics, misinformation, and a decentralized command and control to throw off our efforts. They are a sophisticated and eminent threat both here and abroad. If we are in a state of war here people, then why is the military not canvasing our own land to find the sleeper cells we know are hiding. Why do we continue to concern ourselves with domestic political correctness and play paticake with the militant Islamists in our own land? Freedom of speech ends when the man yells Fire! And there are too many here who have.

Those who speak against our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Cuba should be jailed for sedition. I am not referring to those who speak against the troops involvement in these areas; just the ones who make false and inflammatory accusations. It is being done with way too much frequency and terrible ramifications. The next liberal leftist socialist piece of garbage I hear complain that our troops are killing women and children is going to get an earful and possibly a couple of fists full as well. The last thing we need is our troops coming home with a burden of guilt put on them such as that put on our Vietnam veterans. War is hell people, civilians die. The civilians who are dying in Iraq are killed by insurgency elements. Our troops are put in harms way every day protecting civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I heard too many stories from friends who were in Vietnam. They were forced to defend themselves by eliminating the threat, very often a nine year old with a grenade in their hand. Some were so angered by the deed that they sought out the child's parents and exacted some justice on them as well. I would do the same thing. I would die before I let anyone use my daughter as a weapon.

I heard stories of women in Iraq being used as spotters for ambushes and snipers. They were blatant and did their deeds willingly and in plain view. Many of them were rightly eliminated as well. Nevertheless, these actions weighed on the minds of our CIVILIZED soldier. Their perspective and philosophy on war clashed with what they saw and had to do. This has created an undo psychological stress on our soldier that should be treated with compassion and assistance rather than ridicule and contempt.

I feel fortunate that I have not had to fight against such a barbaric and inhuman enemy as the one we are now fighting. The guys who were in Vietnam know what it is like. You have to fight them on their terms. It is difficult and mind numbing, but necessary. The aftermath is often as tragic for the survivors as it is for the casualties.

I think my ethnic upbringing lends me to understand somewhat the intricacies of a gorilla tactic. The Scots have long been taught and thought of as fierce warriors. Again, it goes back to the fact that War is not for rule makers and politicians. It is for warriors and bloodthirsty men. Those who are bloodthirsty for an unrighteous and brutal enemy must be brutal themselves.

This is not ballet, it is not "Saving Private Ryan" it is war and real bullets fly. Our troops should have the freedom to protect themselves as they see fit, not some Vodka drinking Pol from Massachusetts.

If it is WWII we need to fight it like that. We need to continue our march. Syria, Iran, North Korea, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and yes even Saudi Arabia. We should overrun the Middle East with our troops and eliminate any and all militant threat we encounter there. No more tiptoeing around it. This War is necessary, and a protracted war in Iraq is too reminiscent of Vietnam.

The NVA had North Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos to fall back to. The terrorists in Iraq have Iran, Syria, Jordon, and Saudi Arabia as their harbors.

Our President has made the pledge to find them where they hide and eliminate them. He pledged to also hold those nations who harbor and assist terrorists accountable through action. I do not feel he is backing those statements up with the proper action. It needs to be done now.

Our intelligence on terrorism grows daily and I am sure we know which nations are culpable. Make them account for their crime against the free world and our troops. They are standing there in safety laughing at us and regrouping just as the NVA and Vietcong did. Their reinforcements sit and wait in security and with the support of their friends and families while ours die being spit on by some of the people they are fighting for and by some people who claim to be Americans.

Our policy is in need of drastic change. Our concern for the opinion and position of lesser nations should be swept aside. We are the superpower, let us use our might and superiority to rid this planet of its greatest cancer.

I agree with you but our most powerful weapon is freedom in Iraq. The other countries people will turn on their governments when they see that.

I am new here...but I already like this site MUCH more than the one that banned me. You guys are REAL patriots!! You use logical, rational, non-PC thought! I love it!

People like us here could really turn the tide in this war if we were given a chance.

Death to the Islamic terrorists!!! We should kill them all no matter where they are or where they hide.

And destroying Mecca would be perfect. A perfect and fitting punishment for the murder these Muslims have committed!

You're right on target. If the left wasn't so distracted on trying to destroy the Republicans so they might have a shot at the White House, they might realize that there are people who are trying to destroy them as well. And they were not born to hatred as a result of us going into Iraq. They attacked us multiple times before 9/11 and that was the last straw. Bush has made the Middle East the battlefield, so we don't have to fight it here. But instead the left brings the battle for morale here.
