Stop pointing a gun at the rapist and he MAY stop raping your wife. Try being nice to him, he MAY not kill her. Serve him cookies and milk, he MAY just slap instead of punch. Put a pillow over her head so you don't have to hear her screams, loud sounds MAY cause him to do more violence then he has already done. Yeah, capitulation is the way to go....
