The Quisling Award is giving annually to the American who surrenders the most of America to a foreign government.

The award is named after Vidkun Quisling, who when the Germans invaded in Norway promptly got on the radio and surrendered the whole country. After the war, the Norwegians tried him, found him guilty and executed him for treason.

This quisling, Gov. Mike Huckabee, will be lucky if he gets elected to dogcatcher in Arkansas, much less President of the United States.

I doubt it. The Hispanic population in America is large enough that a GOP candidate needs its votes to get elected President. Heck, Hispanics comprise a larger percentage of the population than do Blacks! Huckabee is just recognizing this new reality.

Actually, the President received the votes of 46% of Hispanic men and 36% of Hispanic women. These were tremendous gains from 2000. Moreover, many Hispanics--like rural Whites--actually support the GOP on social issues such as abortion and gay marriage. Also, as the number of Hispanics in America has risen, the GOP has continued to do remarkably well.
