I wouldn't be surprised if the total dead is higher. And the seriously wounded is in the thousands..... we are stupid if we expect to replay vietnam exactly and are waiting for victory.

My son is a grunt in 1/5 Marines. If I told you about the rules of engagment and how these brave Marines, Corpsmen and Soldiers are hamstrung by orders and policies from Hackworth's "perfumed princes" in Washington and Baghdad, you would be outraged. ( Frankly, I don't my son getting in trouble so I'll not tell about specific instances.). Americans are dying today and tommorrow because they are not allowed to take the fight to those killing them.
Just want you to know that "dead" total includes a soldier who was killed in a car accident while on leave in KANSAS, plus all dead due to accidents and illness.
But I'm sure the anti-war people didn't notice all these others (/sarcasm)
