Actually, it's not unusual for someone with asthma/allergies (they often go hand-in-hand) to take a few meds to manage them, especially in the spring. Don't know about most of the drugs they mention, but my son and I have asthma/allergies (especially in the spring) so here's the ones I recognize: albuterol is usually a "rescue" inhaler for when you have an attack...ventolin is the brand name (our insurance makes us pay more if there's a generic available). Albuterol, while mildly stimulant at first, is SO safe, very young children are given this. As with albuterol, singulair is also very safe and can be given to children as young as 2. It's for allergy and asthma. We've never had advair as it's a steroid inhaler and we've wanted to avoid those, but have had serevent and now, floradil...like advair they keep airways open to avoid the need for a rescue inhaler.

So, I find all that bragging SO hysterical...they wear it like a disability. My son's been an athlete all his life, he's plalyed soccer since he was 5 and since the age of 10 has been playing at a very high level. He's a winger, so spends almost 45 min. at a time on the run.

The only time I ever saw him truly "winded" was for his black belt test where he had to defend himself against his sensei and 2 other black belts (he was 16 at the time and they were in their 30's). It was 10-15 minutes of the most intense fighting I've ever seen him do.

Now, I'm not the athlete he is, but there's plenty of exercise to be had on our mini-farm in addition to my own herb and flower gardens. To sit around and brag about meds and moan about your condition is beyond pathetic.
