State Sen. Campbell To Run for Congress

State Senator John Campbell just announced on The Hugh Hewitt Show that he will be running to replace congressman Chris Cox, who is leaving to be the new head of the SEC.

John Campbell has earned my endorsement. He has been a great spokesman for the conservative cause while in Sacramento, and would be a great congressman. He is the author of a tight spending cap initiative that Governor Schwarzenegger unfortunately did not choose to support.

What really earned my support was that he is in touch with talk radio and blogs, recently putting up his own blog, California Confidential. Sadly, he wont be keeping the blog during the campaign, but here's hoping he passes it on to another like-minded state Senator
