Powerline is really sticking it to Sid "Vicious" Blumenthal--one of the Clinton's apologists.

>> Blumenthal even goes so far as to peddle the image of Robert Byrd as a cornpone constitutionalist:
LOL. "cornpone Constitutionalist" me thinks not.
"Tottering fool" comes immediately to mind though.

Yo, Sid. The Constitution of the United States of America lists 7 instances where a super-majority is required. Seating judges is not among them.
The Constitution does allow the Senate to make its own rules as to how business is conducted, though, including how many votes it takes to end debate on a judicial nomination. That is precisely what is being denied here.

What he wrote in the Guardian was untrue. It will be interesting to see whether a correction will be forthcoming. LOL. Likely the same day we see this.

To summarize: Sid lied to an audience that probably didn't know any better.
Then he tried to cover up his lies with a smokescreen.
His next line of defense (if he chooses to make one) would be that "filibuster" dosen't really mean "filibuster".
For those not paying attention this is precisely the technique Bill Clinton used over and over and over again...
