Since it is obvious to anyone who has read my typo filled posts, I know nothing about domain names and such.

I am just going to throw this out there because I don't mind looking like a fool.........the date of the last update says June 6th.

I did read somewhere on DU (maybe that thread, further down) that "Kelvin" said when he checked again, the name had been changed.

DOS attacks certainly are illegal. But that's not what we're dealing with here. Rather, it seems this "Kelvin Mace" character compained to the host company of the scamdy.com page and they took it down cause it violates their "Terms of Service" (TOS) because it "defames" an individual.

"Kelvin" claims the names and phone numbers were changed after he publicised that they were using his name.

It is also true that right now the info provided by whois gives phone numbers which are "555" area codes, which is bogus. That could (I am no expert) be enough for a provider to reject hosting a domain.

Probably, this provider got complaints from DUmmies that poor Andy was being defamed and they took the site down.

That David Allan info was the ORIGINAL registration info, it changed to Jason Tonks after a day. All that is actually earlier in this thread and I also see them talking about the change on the DU thread....it was a joke by Andy Scam I think.

There are vastly different legal standards of defamation regarding public figures and private ones.

Normal people would not consider Andy to be a public figure.

If you were just a normal guy working at an ISP and suddenly a bunch of people start complaining that you let some jerks put up a web site defaming their friend who is dying of cancer, you'd probably do the same thing. What remains to be seen is if the ISP will review the situation.

AAAAAWWWWWW! Poor baby! If people on our side did that every time they were "defamed" by DU, that site would have been taken down a looong time ago. If they can't play with the big boys, they should stay out of sandbox. Since they can't deal with reality they just erase it. What a bunch of whiny losers.
