That was the most bizarre thing I've ever watched on a talk show. He had to be on something. My daughter and I watched in shock for the first 5-10 minutes, then it just continued to get worse as the show went on. Why is he playing chicken Oprah? Or is he attacking her? Either way, why Tom? What happened to you, Tom? We're afraid of you now.

When you get back, check out the new andyscam thread. We've got a guy claiming to be a PI hired to watch somebody (not clear who).

Before I leave, I thought I would entertain you with these pics of Tom Cruise hopping up and down on Oprah's sofa while declaring his LOVE for Katie Holmes:

LOL! just like DU when the early exit polls came out!

Now why would a "PI" log onto a web forum and announce it to everybody? These DUmmies are desperate. The "PI" is probably Good/Bad/Tourette's Boy.

As if they want it investigated by anyone. They want NO ATTENTION from ANYONE, especially LE or news media. Ever wonder why no legitimate media is Politicizing Andy's Plight? Because Andy&Friends don't want anyone but a Progressive doofus like WillPit to cover the story.

Nice try DUmmies. First it was the IP numbers, now it's a PI. Poor DUmmies.

Misty ought to set that form to display IPs in the post. It's a bit harder to play around if IPs are displayed.

I think it's going to get pretty wild over there.

Well, according to DUmmy PI some of us are going to jail. So in case anybody missed it in the last DUFU's I have called the top bunk. :)

Don't worry though, I just spoke to Mr. beandog (an attorney) and he says he'll find us all a good criminal attorney. LOL

What a lame PI, he never even made it into the right thread, you would think he would be interested in the documents if actually a PI by a newspaper.

Misty ought to set that form to display IPs in the post. It's a bit harder to play around if IPs are displayed.

I may consider doing that, but would it stifle the discussion? Would the main players decide not to post if their IPs are on display for everyone?

I'm talking about the one misty memory set up "silence of the scams". He apears to have started a new thread and calls himself PrivateI. Kinda lame.

You should consider the opinions of others before you do it, I've been on boards where it didn't stifle the discussion but Andy's cheering section has some nasty and vindicitve people in it and on second thought it might not be a good idea to post IPs. You might want to watch them though, or get someone to help who can.

I would appreciate all the help I can get!! I have to be gone for long periods of time sometimes and I worry someone's gonna do something stupid while I'm gone and it won't get taken care of 'til I get back.

thanks. I don't think we need to have everyone's IP broadcast. Just the administrator Misty Memory should keep track of the IP's of everyone posting on there, and call people out if they're claiming to be someone or something they are obviously not. I have a sneaking suspicion that PrivateI is none other than Goodboy, a.k.a. Badboy, a.k.a Tourettesboy, etc. Has about the same style of "writing" and a similar habit of making vague threats and refusing to answer simple questions.

ANOTHER HISTORICAL PARALLEL?

This was posted on another web-site yesterday:

It is appropriate, given this stage in the exposure of the Andy scam, to review the goals, what has been accomplished, and what remains to be accomplished.

Of course, the primary objective had been to stop a scammer in his tracks, minimizing the damage. That goal was accomplished actually several weeks ago, after exposure on a conservative web-site within hours of the first fund-raiser.

The spigot may have flowed richly the first few days of the scam, but the flow constantly diminished, as the scam was increasingly exposed all over the internet, and even ideological allies of the scammer began having reasonable doubts.

Perhaps the cash is still flowing, but it is probable it is just a trickle now, compared with what it might have been; also there is evidence that plans for a further, larger fund-raiser had to be closed down.

So the primary objective was reached a very long time ago.

The secondary objective had been to compel those involved in the scam, to incriminate themselves in their own words. Those involved in the scam are hardly taciturn people, and such self-incrimination has been flowing more lushly than the dollars ever flowed.

This secondary objective is still on-going, although it is long past time all those involved have incriminated themselves; all that comes from them now is icing on the cake, the cake itself already having been secured.

The third objective was to get the ideological allies but ethical opponents, of those involved in the scam, to do their own checking, to draw their own conclusions, to gather their own evidence.

This third objective is gathering steam, and now past unstoppable; and as soon as those on the left, on the liberal side, but ethical, take over the momentum of investigation of this scam, then we on the right, on the conservative side, can probably lay off, relax.

In case anyone needs reminding, this was never an ideological issue, or a personal issue, but instead a matter of ethics. Those who demand "honest and open elections"--a commendable objective, and anyone of any ideological stripe commends them--should be held to the same standards they demand of the rest of us.

While we on this side of the political aisle have disagreements with those on the other side of the aisle, we are allies with those on that side who wish accountability; and we do not intend to mock or deride our allies interested in ethical conduct.

The fourth objective was to get a strict accounting for the funds donated, and their use--this of course being unrealistic for the average public to attain, being more so in the domain of law enforcement and tax revenue agencies.

However, it did, and does, not hurt for the average public to yell and scream about possible financial shenanigans, because such noise ultimately arouses the attention of those who can do something about it.

Finally, we have at times been diverted--at other times not diverted-- by the "sympathy angle." As if it is okay for someone terribly ill, perhaps dying, to commit fraud.

That someone is terribly ill, perhaps dying, is a sad and tragic thing, and our hearts go out to that individual--but one has to keep separate the "person" from the "fraud," and the fraud is the issue here, not the person.
