Agreed, the headline concerning the results of this poll is bogus. Americans polled were clearly referring to illegal immigrants.

However, those of us who would like to see a reduction or haitus in legal immigration shouldn't have to feel apologetic, either. The "right" to immigrate to the US is nearly sacrosanct and any sentiments to the contrary are practically viewed as heresy.

Absolutely. The vast majority of us are descended from people who came to America from somewhere else LEGALLY and went through Hell to get here and make it past the immigration inspectors. If this, and Her Heinous' recent faux position(s) on the issue, don't get the attention of the Republicans then they are even more brain dead than I could have feared.

I completely agree. The majority of Americans know we have a shortage of workers, which need to be filled with LEGAL immigrants. Furthermore, the majority of Americans are angry at illegals jumping in front of legal immigrants who have waited years to come here.
