That is not true. I've been on the phone with Johns Hopkins since May 2nd proving this is all a hoax. This was going to come out. Andy is just stalling until all the paypal money is released. Principles refusal to admit any lies were employed to raise the money. This is all the proof anyone needs that these scammers are relying on the fact that Andy is the only one that is going to be investigated. They also believe that Andy hasn't said anything actionable. What they don't know is that everyone from Skinner down to Grandma of triplets is being investigated as we argue. Principle’s response no doubt will be similar to sfexpat's when she said she'd love to speak to the FBI. I hope they also won't mind speaking to Hopkins Lawyers who are less than pleased with the methods used to collect the money. Hey there's something not covered by hippa laws. Yes a Johns Hopkins lawyer can be grateful for information and forthcoming with his opinions about how Hopkins name is being abused for fundraising efforts by a patient or non patient. He can also tell you how many people have been inquiring about the “scam” So principle back to you for a second. Again let me ask how the running totals were calculated. Why if sfexpat had access to Andy’s pay pal information to check donations did she need everyone to email her the amount they donated? I know Andy didn't have surgery scheduled on Tuesday. What I'm doing here is posting questions knowing that one brave DU'r (like SomthingsGottaGive was) will break the wall of silence over there and start asking the questions they read here that you can't answer or won't. So in that vain. Is it important for Andy to account for all the money he received during this fundraiser? Should he have to explain any of the inconsistencies used by his supporters to collect the money? I'm asking for you to check you own replies. You said there was proof posted of the may 5 scan. Could you ask sfexpat for permission to post the offending emails that she claims warranted a complaint to AA's isp as claimed in a DU thread. (And the threatening email I copied) Also ask her why Kos hasn’t stripped him of his posting privileges after his trolling efforts there and on DU? Please show me where "Steve" said he filed a report with the FBI. The only thing I see is him saying "The FBI has been contacted". You said he interfered with PayPal... How exactly did he do that. Is it illegal to call paypal and ask them to look into the legitimacy of a donation drive? Is it illegal to challenge a payment once suspicions are raised and not debunked? Do you even know if "Steve" donated? From what I've read that seems highly unlikely. Even though many DUmmies have speculated he donated as part of the dastardly plan to kill Andy. But, from what you say he wouldn't have needed to donate. Just calling and asking a question is enough to lock the funds and threaten his survival. It's really quite telling that it is me you threaten here on this site. Why me? why not all the others that have cast aspersions on Andy's credibility and likelihood of actually having cancer. Can you point to where Andy actually says he has cancer and not just "consistent with cancer"? However, I have an email, personal addressed by a Hopkins lawyer if you'd like me to post it. Its contents will be rather disappointing however it will prove I too have been "contacted" by a hopkins lawyer named....wait for it...."Dan" I also know his last name but lalarawraw is a top investigator I'm sure she'll get to the bottom of it as quickly as she nailed "Steve’s" first name. The remaining 25 thousand is apparently due before the surgery or shortly there after. This part is not clear. What I find disturbing is how the five main people collecting the money will drag the good name of Johns Hopkins through the mud in order to get people to feel sorry for Andy and fork over their hard earned money fighting the soulless hospital administration. Several people in the DailyKos links I have provided describe a much different hospital system than the stereotypical impression, one often promoted in the media, that Andy's donation crew repeat in every plea they send out. If Andy can get adequate treatment in his home state of Washington then I think the methods being used to collect the money verge on fraud. But I'm not a lawyer or law enforcement member. To make a short story long. Had Andy said… "I'm very sick, the local cancer hospital says my chances of survival are 50-50 but Johns Hopkins has a treatment that will cost 20 thousand dollars more but increase my odds to 70-30" I think his friends and supporters would still have come up with the money. Instead he has allowed Johns Hopkins to look like a greedy heartless corporation without ever disclosing any alternative options. I'm sure Johns Hopkins fundraises from the progressive community from time to time and I think this kind of behavior hurts the reputation of your institution and may hamper future fundraising efforts. So, that's the reason for my concern. Please see below the links to just some of the sites asking for donations. The DailyKos for example has US senators posting on it and receives half a million hits a day. If I thought these pleas for money were limited to fringe site with not much traffic I might not care. The calls made by Steve and then by others caused issues for Andy with PayPal and Medicaid, that is also a crime. Finally, the entire CU conversation about all of these things as well as the Kos posts by Steve and the FR posts by Steve, who is probably "andyscam" here, have been downloaded, and handed off to the FBI. All parties have spoken with legal council and all parties are considering various civil actions. The FBI is looking into criminal action. Cyber law 101. But really, feel free to continue this. My only reason for coming to this board was to see what, if anything, I could learn. Seems I learned that attacking a cancer patient, attempting to discredit journalists, misrepresenting officials in the FBI and attorneys for a medical establisment are not really things I want to learn. I spoke with all of the people asking questions behind the scenes and The FBI was given all of the info, including the person telling this story. Steve is his first name, but the FBI will determine just for sure. Also, Steve in one of his posts mentioned filing a report with the FBI, which the FBI does not have on file. Steve also mentioned that he was communicating with an attorney at JH, even showing a supposed email from that attorney, also not true. It is a crime to represent a legal communication or a person representing the legal community.
Note that no contact has been made since...so is Undie fleeing to friendly climates now? Is this why Skinner has taken a 'vacation' all the sudden? Hmm.....

This is unbelievable. Another one of the myriad of "red flags" that should have been raised for the DUmmies is that one of the early requests for money was worded saying "our activists are working with the people at JH to negotiate lower prices" or something like that. It seems to me that one of these "activists" could have merely requested that the person at JH that they were working with confirm Undie's patient status for Skinner. One of MANY red flags.
And, donning my lawyer cap, it seems the DUmp itself can be considered partially liable for the bilking of the DUmmies (and Air America too?) for allowing a fraudulent fundraiser. I can imagine the leftie heads exploding across the country if DU were shut down (Rove got to them!!!!!!!).
The "guys" in charge at DU should have their heads examined for allowing any fundraiser to take place-- legality aside, it's just unethical (why is King Andy worthy of a fund raiser, but not some other sick poster?? And they're all sick). But like good little Stalinists, they serve their masters well.
