Now that I think about it, having had to purchase a number of cashier's checks, they are usually written on a different format than this one; i.e., on carbon triple receipt forms, since the bank has to keep a copy. The bank draws the money out of your account and puts it in a separate account which is how they can guarantee that the money is there. Does that look like the typed in part (date, amount, payee) is carbon-ed? Looks more like original type to me.

Look closer. IMHO...it's not typed. Those checks have been printed with either a very good ink-jet or laser printer.
