Yes, you found me out, good for you. The jig is up.
By the way, I note your home page indicates you are christian. Maybe treating me a little better might make you walk a little more of the walk. I've really done nothing you can't verify on your own. Maybe everyone will think you're full of crap too.
To: Charles Henrickson
Please do not tell me they are going to give this guy more money. Somebody posted what JH charges for the surgery and it was only about $24,000. I still firmly believe that he does not have cancer.

(FR cracks UNDIEGATE!)
To: decal
Not necessarily, if this is just a scam, Undie could have gotten the checks just for the 'illusion' that he's getting the surgery.
Let's say, the people in on the scam pooled their money and then got those two checks so that they would have the 'proof' they needed. Now, they can continue to fleece the DUmmies for their money.
Also, there is no way to find out if the checks was actually handed over to JH unless Undie can provide a receipt for it. Which I assume he'll do since that is the next logical step in the scam to convince the DUmmies. (Or someone can check into it on the sly)
This reeks of scam the way it was set up from the get-go. There is no way to verify it short of FBI investigation. Or if Undie missteps, or we find a erroneous hole in his time-line (which may resolve this because all the stories floating around do not match up).

Also, is it a usual practice for a hospital to have services that cost such rounded-off amounts? Most of the bills I pay are for figures such as $3,992.75-- not $4,000. And, you pay the different people in different departments-- the surgeon, the ultrasound guy, the anesthesiologist, etc... not just one lump sum to "THE HOSPITAL".
To: halieus
At my bank, you CAN call and verify funds for a check, so I DO NOT thinks she is a troll. Just call (you may have to do this in the morning if the bank does not have a 24 hour line - there IS a 24 hour billpay line though). Note that I DID not call the bank myself! I am NOT in WA state and the 800# would NOT give me a teller!

I am sure you are not a troll. I am watching this whole thing from the popcorn gallery. quite amusing if this all turns out to be a fleecing of the flock over at du.

Try: Undie is NOT in Baltimore and him & his scammer buddies pooled their fundage for the 2 'checks to JH' which they will return & get their money back for AFTER their scam is done & they have fleeced the DUmmies for their $$.
Sounds like a plan for a scam, yes?

The $50,000 covers the surgery, but does not include the $7,000 for the surgeon and there is $1600 for the test he had to have done so they could schedule him for surgery. WOW! The ceiling for the amount of money Andy needs keeps rising and rising and...

I totally agree that this reeks of a scam. For one-- if it's pancreatic cancer, it seems he'd be much sicker (or dead) by now. Maybe they think it "might be" cancer, and he expanded it to get money. Also, the timing of the checks, the pushed back surgeries, etc...
Also, he was supposed to allow skinner to talk to a JH representative-- what happened to that. The cashier's checks prove nothing other than undie (or one of his minions) was able to scrape together money from somewhere to purchase those two. I didn't want to rain on anyone's parade by finding out that the checks were actually not forgeries, but I hate seeing people lose sight of the big picture (where the scam might really be) and some of the info I saw going around was just plain wrong and I thought it might be helpful to stop people from barking up the wrong tree.
Basically, I think the fact that this guy raises money from the DUmmies to get surgery done at a better hospital than the "average" joe would (or that HE could have done for free) already says a ton.
To: speed_addiction
speed, I love those!! ^o^
Also, I think that if we have someone call Verity to doubly verify the checks, it should be you or PJ. Think you're up to the task?

Indeed, they may very well have done so already - no way to check until tomorrow AM or Monday.

Thank you for not thinking I'm a troll. I've already sucked down a glass of wine to calm my nerves. Nothing like being attacked for trying to help. But oh well, you don't go online if you have a thin skin.
To: Charles Henrickson
Another thing. She mentions that he know has to pay $1,600 for a test he had to have before they could schedule surgery. Well, didn't he supposedly have surgery set for Tuesday without this test? Also why this vague "end of the month" date. Why not the real date. Still ain't buying it.

If by transparent you mean keeping an open mind, then yes.
To: I_like_good_things_too
I agree with you for what it's worth. This can be doubly verified, I just asked if maybe we could get speed or PJ to do so.

Or if Undie missteps, or we find a erroneous hole in his time-line (which may resolve this because all the stories floating around do not match up). Undie already did misstep. Don't you remember when Undie posted and then QUICKLY deleted his own post about one of his checks to Johns Hopkins being hot?
