I don't see why our hospitals, ER's and all medical facilities cannot be declared "diplomatic zones". That way they are not officially part of the USA can so children born there are not automatically American citizens.

An in-law has been in ICU for over two weeks, and the waiting room looks like the UN already. Let's just say she's one of fewer than 10 ICU patients (out of about 50) whose tab isn't being picked up by taxpayers...makes you feel kinda queasy, doesn't it?

That won't stop people from having them at home, or elsewhere.

That "born in the U.S.A. ,instant citizen" carrot ought to be yanked. But, hey....that makes too much sense to our masters.
