The critical word is "collapse." The cause of her injury is a mystery to everyone else, but very probably not to the one witness: Michael. We have two choices. (1) She collapsed due to a dietary disorder ("extremely rare" in Dr. Baden's words; healthy young women simply do not get up at 5:00 in the morning and suffer cardiac arrest). (2) Domestic violence - the most common cause of injury and death to young women of Terri's age.
Well, maybe it's not so hard to figure this out after all.
Thanks for the ping!
On the plus side, Fuhrman is a trained detective. I have said all along we need to look at the case from a criminologist's view. Instead, all we hear from is a bunch of complete amateurs affecting to be neurologists.
Also on the plus side, we've done an enormous amount of real investigation here. Other bloggers have made valuable contributions. There is available a large body of fact-based information for the right book. I hope Pat Anderson writes it; she has encyclopedic knowledge of the case.
Hiya, A-G! Always glad to see you :-)
Agreed.
Well, if he talked too much about the book, we might not buy it. I hope he makes lot's of sales.
Thanx for the update for us cableless Allosaurs.
Maybe he'll talk a little more about it on another day. I didn't realize MarK Fuhrman was a Fox News correspondent.
Hi there, T'wit! It's great to see you, too!
Did you think it was weird that so little was said by Hannity and Furhman about his book? I sure did.
Especially when thinking about the fact that we heard Furhman was going to be on the show tonight a few days ago. The things they talked about tonight hadn't even happened yet - the police chase and shooting and the woman's body being found.
Do you think Fox News told Hannity to cool it and not talk about Terri so much? I just don't trust Fox News anymore and I worry that they will censor Hannity. I was hoping Furhman was going to expose the lie told by Michael's brother on Monday night's show and other things about the book.
How you noticed how Colmes seems to have more control over the show? Maybe I'm being overly suspious or I'm just so sick of hearing Colmes that it seems like he talks more. LOL But seriously, why was Furhman on Hannity tonight. The events they discussed hadn't even happened when it was announced he would be on. They have to know we were so anxious to hear more about the book. It's just strange, imo, or just network hype and then nothing. grrrr
FV, I hope you can tell us more about your neighbor, the nurse, who cared for Terri. It's definately a small world. Was she surprised to hear that you were at the vigil at the hospice/death house?
Mark Fuhrman just finished writing a book on Terri "Silent Witness, The Untold Story of Terri Schiavo's Death."
The book will be released on June 28th. Furhman was scheduled to talk about Terri's case last night on Hannity & Colmes but apparently the schedule changed.
Amazon.com has more info on the book here
While the book is published quickly, a great deal of material was already available. And this book might well lead to further investigations and a follow up book. After Fuhrman published the Moxley book, several other writers jumped in.
Is Ohioan from Florida on a respite?

Mark Fuhrman Probing Schiavo Case
Famed detective Mark Fuhrman, whose independent investigation into the Martha Moxley murder led to the conviction of Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel, is probing the Terri Schiavo forced-starvation case.
"He spent a month on the ground in Tampa," revealed Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity Friday night. "He's talked to many of the principals involved in investigating the case and he's coming out with a book."

You can find it posted on the web in several places by google "Mark Fuhrman book Schiavo"
Book Description
We all watched Terri Schiavo die.The controversy around her case dominated the headlines and talk shows, going all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, the White House and the Vatican.
And it's not over yet. Despite her death, the controversy lingers. In Silent Witness, Mark Fuhrman applies his detective skills to examine the medical evidence, legal, and police records. He conducts exclusive interviews with forensics experts and crucial witnesses, including friends, family members and care-givers.
Fuhrman will answer these questions:
What was Terri and Michael Schiavo's marriage really like?
What happened the day Terri collapsed?
What did Michael Schiavo do when he discovered Terri unconscious?
How long did he wait before calling 911?
What do medical records show about her condition when she was first admitted to the hospital?
Fuhrman has complete cooperation of Terri Schiavo's parents and siblings, as well as their medical and legal advisors.
The legal issues and ethical questions provoked by Terri Schiavo's extraordinary case may never be resolved.
But the facts about her marriage, her condition when she collapsed, and her eventual death fifteen years later, can be determined.
With Silent Witness, Mark Fuhrman will go beyond the legal aspects of the case and delve into the broader, human background of Terri Schiavo's short, sad life.
That book is sure to sell a lot of copies!!
Oh, I can't wait to read it!
Who's going to have some explaining to do when the truth comes out? Our Florida House may have to impeach Greer or start investigating former Sheriff Everett Rice after MF's book.
Truth leads to justice.
Thanks for the ping!
LOCAL UPDATE: The Tampa Tribune Letters to the Editor today were re: the protest of Greer's award by the West Pasco County Bar Assn. (he's having a hard time shaking the image of being a killer imo). That protest has gotten a lot of mileage and it was more disturbing to Greer than we will ever know. His friends are still trying to prop his banana republic up.
Meanwhile over at the St. Pete Times, they haven't moved on yet and are still publishing the New York Times' pieces attempting to define Terri's true condition. Now that will work. Everyone in the world could see that Terri was not a vegetable including Dr. Dave Weldon from the US House and Dr. Bill Frist from the US Senate.
FV
I can't wait to read Fuhrmann's book, coming out the end of June:
