There's an underlying reality to all this, though. I've seen folks who seem to be so emotionally connected to one particular political leader or another that any criticism of the leader prompts a response that seems exaggerated and way out of proportion. And, I've seen other folks for whom faith seems to no longer hold any mystery, wonder or doubt - without hesitation, they speak about spiritual matters with a level of absolute certainty that might be expected only from someone who has already been to Heaven and back many times.
Anyway, the upshot is that the forum has become a very uncomfortable place for some very good people. ;-)
