Sometimes I feel guilty about laughing at Mel Brooks ... that's how much of a stump I am. But I still couldn't be offended at Mrs. Bush's remarks. Of course, I don't have any experience with stripping facilities (except of the "Hurry up - there's a line for the bath!" type) so maybe I just didn't get the whole point.

The main point, as far as I'm concerned, is that too many people are ready to be offended at the dropping of an inference.

Obviously, they never had the opportunity to follow that sage advice of the perrenial sports coach, "Just suck it up!" -- Probably a reference to that quick, indrawn breath which presages the glint of determination, and victory.
