Just because someone is a conservative doesn't make him right. If you choose to let your politics dictate your gullibility, fine--if you get all hot and bothered because of what you WANT to be true as opposed to what the mountains of evidence prove, fine. But cut the defensive attitude and maybe open your brain to the work that proves this guy is biased and looking for a "conservative" position on HIV. Science doesn't know politics, and pointing out this writer's laughable flaws--such as his desire to be injected with "pure" HIV, as if that has any relevence, and his bizarre leap in logic over early HIV drugs which suppressed the immune system somehow PROVING his point, when all it proved is that there was a long way to go in terms of finding the proper levels of medication--is so easy that one can only shrug and let the people who are obsessed with "proving" a political angle to an issue of science.
