Rosie O'Donnell complained to Fox News Channel's Geraldo Rivera in a recently taped interview, "All I know is that when I was a kid and the Vietnam War was on and Jane Fonda was the only person standing up and saying what every kid that was 9 years old like I was knew war is wrong and we shouldn't go over and kill people. You know [President Bush] invaded a sovereign nation [Iraq] in defiance of the U.N. He is basically a war criminal! He should be tried in the Hague! My publicist says I should stop talking about politics."

O'Donnell is incorrect. In fact we were not in defiance of the UN, but her hero Saddam was. The United States, in an action approved by the United States Congress, was enforcing UN ceasefire accords that required Saddam to disarm within 50 days of the March 1991. He never did. Therefore the war was on 51 days after the end of the March 1991 ceasefire.
In addition, Bush didn't go in despite the United Nations, he was carrying out UN resolutions, all fourteen or fifteen of them. Further, the United States Congress voted their approval of his actions.
It is just wrong to dress up sedition as dissent. It is wrong to use the propaganda and hate of our enemies to call the American president a "war criminal" and demand he stand trial. That rhetoric goes well beyond being the loyal opposition to being absolutely treasonous.
O'Donnell now has a lot of time on her hands and spends much of it belittling the President of the United States on her blog, referring to the president as "baby bush." Of the recent meeting between President Bush and the Saudi Crown Prince, O'Donnell wrote, "the two clowns are nearly in a lip lock and nearly all the 9 -11 hijackers were saudis and we are killing people daily in iraq."
She doesn't let the recently elected Pope Benedict escape her venom either. Like the lapsed Catholic she is, O'Donnell disparaged the newly elected Pope, writing, "I am gonna call him pope b."
Rosie is just one big double-standard. Her liberal dishonesty was clearly displayed with the rude anti-gun ambush of guest Tom Sellick, just before it was revealed that Rosie had armed bodyguards protecting her adopted children.
Yep, Rosie is perfectly typecast in the role of a brain-damaged woman for this evening's made for television movie. But what has damaged her brain, and soul, is her deep, twisted hatred for the people with whom she disagrees. And, by the way, Rosie, your publicist is right, you shouldn't talk about politics because it displays your total ignorance of them.

I pledge to NEVER watch anything, buy anything or support anything the is attached to that woman ever again.
I saw parts of that Gerlado interview and I was appalled.
Didn't she come out in support of President Bush after 9/11? What happened? Is she just peeved about the gay marriage thing and decided to change her tune?

Yet another reason for Hanoi Jane to be cast into irons and hulled off to the firing pit. As for the lesbo. She is one sick little, errrr, fat pup. So misguided, yet so empowered to further pollute the minds of so many.

The blog
Live From Iraq gives an eloquent response to those that oppose the war on the grounds that war can never be justified.

I heard a bit of the Rosie O'Fat interview with Jerry Rivers on Fox Saturday night. Really disgusting. He mentioned that she had given something like $30M to charity (guess which ones) in recent years. She pointed out the fact that she doesn't have to work anymore and can choose the projects she participates in. I have seen estimates of her take from the syndication of her former talks show at somewhere north of $200M. Entertainment is a free market to be sure - I just wish there was a way of not empowering such twits with so much money. I do my share - I don't watch her ( I heard the interview on in the other room and did not watch it)
