That was my biggest complaint - nothing really new or concrete about his entire speech. Just the same talking points he's been trying - and failing - to sell to the American public for several months now.
I wish that any plan would allow me to immediately have MY money, rather than waste away in SS or be seized for some 'personal account'. If it's for my 'personal account', let me have it NOW.

Dear Mr. Prez:
Got my Soc Sec statement the other day. Saw how much I have paid in over the years.
Please send me a check for that amount plus interest (compounded annually at the CPI rate will be just fine). Then you stop the deductions from my paycheck and I will make no further claim on the system. OK?
