Hi, Bri........the reason I asked was because her father, Judge Edmund M. Reggie has a name that doesn't sound like the name of a Lebanese/Arab migrant.

Perhaps he changed his name before getting involved heavily in Louisiana politics?

I am out by a generation. Edmund Reggie's parents were the Syian/Lebanese-Arab immigrants who changed their family's name -- and he of course was born in Louisiana.

I recently read somewhere when the family changed its name and what from -- but despite spending the past hour trying to track it down, can't find the reference.

It's bothering me now like one of those "on-the-tip-of-my-tongue" words or names so I shall keep looking until I come across it again [Probably at 3:AM!] -- and shall send you the URL.

My thanks. It was interesting re-reading that thread. I had forgotten Klintoon pardoned the corrupt judge father of Mrs. Reggie-Kennedy..........and REALLY got him off the hook, wow.
