I totally agree with one minor excepton -- Social Security
was the product of FDR and a Democrat congress in 1935.
Aside from that, you're absolutely correct -- the Republicans have passed tort reform and have lowered
taxes. The Dems, as you stated, have no IDEAS about how
we should govern -- they are now the party of "NO" --
no positivre agenda but simply to reject whatever Bush
proposes. In the marketplace of the free exchange of
ideas they are pathetic!

In regard to Social Security, "They have no alternative solutions."

First, it was an FDR "product" which means change has very negative reflections on their legacy.

Second, even if that were not a factor, suggested improvements to the failing system equate to independence from government.

Third, a successful solution ultimately puts the liberal party hard behind the eight.
