Well, I know I have written quite a few since then...and posted them here on FR and elsewhere.

Joanie-f has too, as have betty boop and others.

Hard to say...a lot of the prolific poster on FR from that era have moved on, started their own, come at odds woth JR, etc.

But the remnant to which you, betty, and Alamo-Girl refer will not be swayed or uprooted. They will not condone that which they know is contrary to God’s word and God’s law, no matter man’s cleverly contrived arguments. They will speak out tirelessly (and act out, when it is within their power to do so) against deceit and corruption, and will continue to hold fast to His teachings, no matter the material or physical cost. The Lord knows each man’s heart. He won’t be mocked. And His faithful know that there is a life of infinitely more meaning, and unimaginable glory, beyond the one in which we now find ourselves mired.

Amen Joanie...that they will not...be moved or swayed. And that remnant will win out in the end, against all odds, because God in Heaven will not forswake them...whther here in mortality, or in the hereafter.

As always, great, soul searching and poignant comments.

1) Protect the borders from outside invaders who would rob the people of their liberty and all the fruits of their labors.

It's a shame that we cannot count on our current president to do this one simple thing.

This should be posted as its own thread.

And there is the rub. The 'Rats are the party of immorality and unaccountability which, as you have so clearly and eloquenty stated, are the mortal enemies of liberty.

And don't forget the Republicans. As far as I'm concerned, they (at least the ones in the Senate) are a greater threat to our country than the Democrats, since without the collusion of various Republicans, the Democrats wouldn't have a chance in hell of imposing their agenda.

If you don't believe me, the Law of the Sea Treaty passed the Republican-dominated Foreign Relations Committee on a vote of NINETEEN TO ZERO earlier this year! This treaty would basically subjugate our maritime interests to one-world government. The Republcian Bush Administration supports it, despite the current peacekeeper-pervert and oil-for-food scandals in the UN.

I can delve through my emails to find other examples, if you wish.

Despite the theatrics, our homeland security efforts remain bogged down in bureaucracy and territorial political squabbling; our borders remain porous; our drunken-sailor federal spending continues to spiral out of control; God continues to be legally banished from our official public consciousness; human life continues to be demeaned and devalued; individual life-decisions and private property continue to be made and enjoyed only to the ever-decreasing degree that our government will ‘allow’ us to do both; the crimes of political scoundrels continue to be swept under the carpet by the agenda-driven media, while men of character continue to be examined and found wanting; and men of faith and courage, and constitutional scholars, continue to be separated, via bigotry of the worst sort, from citizenship at its highest levels.

Thank you, Joanie.

I've said it before, I'll say it again and again, A ping from Jeff Head is a ping for LIBERTY, and not to be ignored. I will be sending this to my son at BYU Idaho, and printing it out for a couple of folks who need to see it but are not on the internet. Profound comments from all, you know who you are, and the reason most of all, that I found myself a resident of freerepublic when I did.

It is great and noble oratory such as this thread, which, even if repeated only occasionally, would be more than worth the price of admission. Powerful and profound statements that are key to securing the blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity. Statements and quotes that ring the bells of liberty within the hearts of all who hear them and ever remind us in whom our Liberty resides.

...I have written quite a few since then...
Now isn't that funny. Except for a few things I stopped writing completely not long after I joined FR.
(no, I don't intend to start writing again. if I were ever to do so again my writings would not be freely given away like they were in the past with me simply believing that it was two people simply exchanging an e-mail on Yahoo. a question was asked and I merely answered. other times I simply vented or ranted and sent it to the same people I had been corresponding with or where I had read a related subject. I've learned my lessons well. fool me once shame on me...)
...a lot of the prolific poster on FR from that era have moved on...
If that is what you choose to believe then who am I to change your beliefs.

BTW, as an FYI, I started out with Prodigy as my Internet provider way back in '92/'93.
