Another amazing effect of 10 or 15 glasses of ice tea is that you sleep like a baby -- you wake up once and hour and tinkle.
Bah. "once an hour" not "and."
It has a little. Which is almost completely mitigated by the diuretic effects of the caffeine.
I've done a fair amount of research on this topic - as one who nearly died from an unexplained potassium deficiency, I did a lot of research on possible causes. Drinking 20 glasses of iced tea would not be a positive for your potassium levels.
MS is one sick puppy. I feel sorry for his kids.
I think the point about the iced tea vs. coke is simply that the guy can't keep his lies straight. It's telling, especially for those who consider him St. Michael who gave up all to care for his beloved wife. *Yes, I've seen some people go on about this cretin in just that kind of language.
I guess anything is possible in some people some of the time. Every site I've found says tea is a rich source of potassium however.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tea and other Biochemical factors
Tea is a rich source of 2 minerals essential for health :
Manganese : Tea is one of the richest source of manganese
in our diet , with 5-6 cups of tea providing 45% of our
daily requirement.
Potassium : Potassium is vital for maintaining heart beat. Deficiency leads to erratic heart beat and fatigue. Tea is a rich source of potassium . 5-6 cups provides nearly ¾ of the recommended daily intake for an adult.
That's a pretty general page you cite - as I'm sure you know, 'tea' is not monolithic. There are many different kinds with different properties. Plain ol' Lusianne iced tea has about 15 mg of potassium per serving. Contrast that with something that has "lots" of potassium, like say Orange Juice - which has about 468 mg of potassium per serving - about the same as one medium-sized banana. In that comparison, it is pretty easy to see why I do not agree with your characterization that iced tea has "lots" of potassium. It also contains more than enough caffeine to have diuretic properties, and that is question #1 in the potassium deficiency diagnostic process - any diuretics?
Or not. Still waiting for a rational argument, but I'm not holding my breath.
I just sited one source, there are many, that say tea is what I described it to be. It is not my opinion.
I was just reading that hypoxia (strangulation ?) can cause low potassium levels. Not sure if I understand the mechanism yet, maybe you could help out.
It's worse than that! Strangulation can actually cause -- cardiac arrest!!!!!!!
The value of eating lemons is reported by Jethro Kloss in his book Back to Eden:
The medicinal value of the lemon is as follows: It is an antiseptic, or is an agent that prevents sepsis [the presence of pathogenic bacteria] or putrefaction [decomposition of tissue]. It is also anti-scorbutic, a term meaning a remedy which will prevent disease and assist in cleansing the system of impurities.
Due to the digestive qualities of lemon juice, symptoms of indigestion such as heartburn, bloating and belching are relieved. By drinking lemon juice regularly, the bowels are aided in eliminating waste more efficiently thus controlling constipation and diarrhea.
On page 659 of Back to Eden, Mr. Kloss points out that, The lemon is a wonderful stimulant to the liver and is a dissolvent of uric acid and other poisons, liquefies the bile, and is very good in cases of malaria. Sufferers of chronic rheumatism and gout will benefit by taking lemon juice, also those who have a tendency to bleed, uterine hemorrhages, etc.; rickets and tuberculosis. In pregnancy, it will help to build bone in the child. We find that the lemon contains certain elements which will go to build up a healthy system and keep that system healthy and well. As a food, we find, owing to its potassium content, it will nourish the brain and nerve cells. Its calcium builds up the bony structure and makes healthy teeth.
Its magnesium, in conjunction with calcium, has an important part to play in the formation of albumen in the blood. The lemon contains potassium 48.3, calcium 29.9, phosphorus 11.1, magnesium 4.4. Lemons are useful in treating asthma, biliousness, colds, coughs, sore throat, diphtheria, la grippe [flu or influenza], heartburn, liver complaint[s], scurvy, fevers and rheumatism.
Some music you play - "NOT FOUND" : )
Sorry about that. It seems to be working now.
at the time she was supposed to've said it - feeding/hydration tube was NOT THEN considered "life support" - so she would not have been addressing being starved to death.
I would think there could be a very viable civil suit against him, his death-lawyer, et al - combining all evidence, MS's first court testimonies before the settlement - versus later/photos of Terri responding to therapy early on/ his testimony that she feels pain and responds to it/on and on and on.
Could not a civil case be brought and with a change of venue, citing prejudicial atmosphere of Pinellas County...
and is not, in a civil case, much more evidence allowed to be brought in?
It would be some measure of justice to see this POS tied up in civil court, day after day in the news again - and everything laid out - including this agenda of death across the country. More people need to get the picture that this was not just about Terri - but the bullseye is on all our backs. When people start to see that they are a target too - then they finally sit up and pay attention.
Thanks.
Many original documents are linked to from

A chilling scenario is there, as well.
Hi! I'm the person who is building the website you're referring to. It's still very much under construction, but my goal is to eventually have or link to all the actual documents regarding Terri Shciavo's case. I am trying to keep the timeline and website to just the bare facts with no opinions, so it will be as unbiased as possible.
If you wish to read my personal opinions and evaluations of facts in the Terri Schiavo case, feel free to check out my blog. Most of the Schiavo posts are on my old blog, many of which are linked here in the link at the bottom of this post on "Raising Questions and Dispelling Myths": http://www.xanga.com/item.aspx?user=purple_kangaroo_Angela&tab=weblogs&uid=237598982
My new blog can be found here: Many of the posts there deal with other cases, such as Scott Thomas, Mae Magouirk, and Maria Korp, as well as PVS and end of life issues in general. http://purplekangaroopuzzle.blogspot.com I will be putting together a page with links to all my posts on these themes and linking to it from my timeline, too.
Thanks for the tip about a homepage for my site. I have been meaning to do that but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
If anyone comes across any documents I don't have yet, please drop me a note. I would especially like to get the entire transcript of the 2000 trial.
Thanks,
purple_kangaroo
For some reason the link I just posted to the xanga site isn't working. So just go to the main page here: http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=purple_kangaroo_Angela and look for the title "**Raising questions and dispelling myths**" in the header.
