Hatred of anti-war moonbats

When I first arrived, I approached the person I thought was the ringleader. I was ready to show him pictures I took of Iraqis waving American flags and expressing their gratitude toward the U.S. I was wearing a Marine Corps shirt, and perhaps he thought I was a Vet seeking to decry the war and betray my fellow servicemen. Before I could say a word he handed me the microphone, in a scene reminiscent of "Forrest Gump". ... Less than a minute elapsed when these so-called "progressives" who claim to be devout supporters of “free speech” unplugged the microphone.

After my impromptu speech was censored and cut short, I mingled with the demonstrators for a few minutes. A woman marched up to me, looked me in the eye and coldly asked, “How many children did you kill?” I showed them the photos I took of my buddies and me with the smiling Iraqi children we befriended and another woman sniped, “You probably gave them candy just like the Nazis did before they killed Jewish children.”

“How many children did you kill?”

Isn't it absolutely amazing these anti-war mental midgets never, EVER, ask how many children our brave soldiers have freed? That's because they don't want to know the answer to that question because it doesn't fit their agenda.

“How many children did you kill?”

Ironically, the same could be asked of her and their pro-choice buddies.

The fact is, the image of a war protestor as a responsible, hardworking, patriotic American who has given our intervention a lot of thought and decided that the Iraq War is just not in America's best interests is just an image.

Every war protestor I have ever encountered or whose screeds I have read manifestly has no love or respect for America, is an economic parasite (i.e. a "professional student", a "community activist", a nonessential public sector drone, a union employee, etc.), is a screaming ideologue with no knowledge of the policy details, etc.

Protesting the Iraq war is just the latest gig for the "Free Mumia" types.

True. They live for the chance to protest something.

"How many children did you kill?"

Been there done that. In 1968 I was walking, in uniform now, with great difficulty through Grand Central Station. I'd just been released from the hospital after several operations to dig shrapnel out of my back.

A short blond girl raced in front of me, got within inches of my face and screamed at me about killing Vietnamese babies. Then she spit in my face and followed me throught the station spitting repeatedly.

Here's the irony. I was riddled with metal from a NVA rocket round because a little three year old Vietnamese girl stood in the middle of a road watching the rocket rounds advance up the road towards her and I covered her.

People like the blond all those years ago and the protestors in this story exists because we shelter them from the realities of the world while they decry us for that protection.

All in all I'd rather be me.

Look on the bright side, as long as they're wasting their time running around carrying signs and yelling, at least they're not actually DOING anything to advance their "agenda".

History is made by people who back up their talk with action.
