"If not now, then when? What would be 'going too far,'

Exactly. If this abuse of power, this neglect of the two constitutions, this contempt for human life cannot be challenged, then nothing can (unless the Decalogue is displayed).

I agree competely with your comments. I was absolutely "sure" that JEB would ride to the rescue, ala John Wayne, with the Calvary (FL Nat'l Guard) in tow.

When he didn't and later claimed that he had exhausted "every legal avenue", I said at that moment, "JEB will never become President."

In deed, too many "political consultants running polls" will have ended JEB's career. The same can be said for President Bush on the illegal immigration problem (totally tone-deaf to average Americans of all stripes.)

You will take the word of an stodgy old baptist deacon who you know nothing about and who apparently has never lived in Florida or is familiar with our State laws over the Governor of Florida.

Yea, that's real intelligent.

I am just surpirsed you haven't realized you can blame abortions on the Bush brothers, too. I'll give you time.

If Jeb Bush was a man deserving of my continued support, he would have himself recognized the wrong and not needed anyone to tell him.

Jeb is the touchy-feely wimp of the family.

And I don't like his choice of women.

If I were him, I would have intervened after 24 hours, defying the courts if needed!

Seems like these "elected" polititions become catatonic when faced with a decision by an appointed nutcase.

If old Jeb can't stand up to some judge, how can we expect him to stand up against the terrorists?

If old Jeb had been in W's position in 2000, I guess Gore would have successfully stolen the election with the help of those scary judges.

Jeb Bush has the constitutional authority, under Florida's constitution, to order the local police to stand down while DCF takes this woman into custody. It is not simply a question of guns or force. It will increasingly become so when constitutional authority refuses to take action that individual citizens have to take up arms to protect themselves. We retain the natural, God-given, right to self-defense.

The media is giving us the Colluseum. The politicians are in their seats, watching the spectacle. Judge greer is the one who gives a thumbs up or down on life or death. Sadly, the public is being entertained in true Roman fashion. The state enjoys a strange sense of power with the fate of it's people hinged on the whim of those in power.

The Schiavo spectacle is giving political opportunists a shot of adrenaline they haven't felt in decades. It feels mighty.

The people are apathetic and reminded that their good fortune is at the hands of the state, not by their individual liberty or rights.

History is repeating itself.........Again.

I feel as if I've been left on the field of battle by my commanders, some of whom have joined forces with the evil empire, and others of whom have simply decided on a whim to pull out of battle. They are the Scottish Lords who betrayed William Wallace.

Either way it's a betrayal. This is a watershed event for me.

Repeating. Thank you. (Me, too.)

Jeb Bush will not be blamed, except for some loudmouths on this post. In fact, it is the same loudmouths and millions of Americans that directly are responsible for Terri's heartbreaking plight. Had they gotten off they butts and destroyed the Democrat "Dr. Death/Traitor" Party years ago, we would not have the judges on the bench that sustained this tragedy!!! Look in the mirror folks, you did this to Terri, not Jeb or GW Bush.

And, I suspect the left-wing of the Democrat party has a solid solution to the Social Security problem. Reduce the excess older population, and with their euthanasia departure, Social Security costs will decrease at the same time, with mass "court approved" killings of the aged and infirm. For a test program, the Democrat Dr. Death's can petition the Vatican to pull the feeding tube on the Pope. Barney Frank says that would be just peachy!!! Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman of south Florida is beside herself with unlimited joy. Congressman Wexler of south Florida will gleefully pull the feeding tube from the Pope's nose!!! America is getting just what it voted for. Until the present, current, Democrat Party is totally destroyed at the ballot box, the Dr. Death's, the perverts, the America haters, the secular, the Godless, etc will rule the day and, and with it, your lives. Your destiny does not lie in any given politician hands. It rests squarely within yourself. End of story!!!

Like I said, they are eating, drinking and being merry while poor Terri is being dehydrated and starved to death. And people like George Felos are getting their jollies off of the spectacle.

So what do you want Jeb Bush to do? Do you want him to be like Gov. Faubus of Arkansas, who ignored the Supreme Court's Brown v. Board of Education and sent the National Guard to enforce what he thought was right? Gov. Faubus got the 101st Airborne for his trouble.

Gov. Bush did what he could - and more than I agreed with, since I believed that Mrs. Schaivo died 15 years ago. What you ask him to do is abosultely insane - to start what would be, in reality, and armed conflict within his state, to provoke a Constitutional crisis for a matter that is well within the bounds of law, and justice for that matter.

I fail to see why this is the hill everyone wants to die on - the woman is clearly never going to recover any semblance of consciousness. Her cerebral cortex is almost entirely scar tissue and cerebralspinal fluid. Her spinal cord functions, but that's about it.

I have had a gut full of all you experts knowing what Jeb Bush should do. I suspect the great majority of you have had no more reponsibility than taking out the trash.

The Governor of my state has the OBLIGATION to OBEY the LAWS of the State of Florida. I grieve for Terri and I strongly believe the Governor does also.

It's in God's hands now. Quit trying to be little gods and seek out HIS answer.

FR is a barometer of how people feel around America.

Sorry. Jeb is tarred by his boasting that he would rescue her
followed by his meek retreat.

To: Gosh I love this neighborhood

So you support an armed conflict between state troopers and/or national guard with the local police? That's what it would come down to and there are hundreds of protestors and hospice people that could get caught in the crossfire, don't forget.
