Another of the vice president's sons, George W. Bush, lived in Lubbock in 1978 and ran unsuccessfully for Congress. Police have said John Hinckley Jr. lived in Lubbock at that time and once attended Texas Tech University.Gee, pretty much my entire family on both sides is from Lubbock. Two of my uncles went to Texas Tech, and one of my first cousins was at Tech in 1978.
Interesting how we've been able to deflect suspicion onto others for the past 24 years, isn't it?
