Because that would be idiotic.
Aren't these people free to move around, take jobs, travel, etc? How would they be monitored?
I have a big beef with the legal system. Child molestation, at the very least should be mandatory life sentence.
Guns and God!!! Amen!!!! :)And no, I am not being sarcastic.
Aren't the jails already crowded? If they have served their sentences, then who will fund these compounds? Aren't they supposed to go out and get jobs, and not be a burden on society?...perhaps, they should just be executed.
I agree...absolutely.
What about the ones, that do not repeat their offense? Why don't we ever hear about them?
GPS...I don't know. Look, if we are going to allow sexual predators the chance to re-enter society, they should at least be subject to some extra scrutiny. Maybe they should have to check in with a probation officer every time they want to travel. I'm not sure of the logistics of any of this, but I want these maniacs looked after so they have less of an opportunity to molest again.
I thought the extra scrutiny was in the form of sex offender notices? I guess, they should either be executed, or never released from prison.
Fine by me...
Executed or life in prison. Fine by me.
Well thats a hypothetical question. Shouldn't they go out and get jobs? If they were productive in society in the first place...why are they at the point they are now? Is it because society beat them down? No.....it isn't. And they aren't a burden to society when they are released and rape and kill our children? Only to come into court, once again, with there heads hung low because they were caught? How many child killers or molesters do you know of that call the police because they have hurt a child? This is a HUGE burden on our society. Prison or not.
OK, you should contact your congressman, and express your views, as that is probably the only way it will get resolved.
It certainly is, what do you suggest?
SUPER YUK.
1) Prayer lots.
2) Do you have a security service like Brinks or ADT?
3) I suppose moving would be a consideration of mine but problematic in these times. And certainly not without checking out new addresses thoroughly!
4) I think I'd at least notify every other house on the block of the website and info.
5) I might check with local law enforcement and ask if he has to wear a GPS ankle attachment thingy or not and if not why not.
6) Insure that any home my child played at always had alert effective supervision by responsible adults.
7) Make sure my guns and permits and ammo were up-to-date.
8) Do whatever sign posting I had to do legally to minimize problems should he set one grassblade's worth of footware across my property line. I might have a great recording of a large barking dog with a super loud noise of a gun being cocked to play in such an eventuality.
9) Refuse to live in fear but live alert.
10) brainstorm other actions to take with responsible neighborhood and community persons.
Thank you. :)
Just remember: only half the sex-offense convictions every year are for repeat offenders. Your child isn't safe even with this guy gone; there may be somebody else who's never been caught.
ESSENTIALLY TRUE.
I doubt it's 100% out of 10,000 though. But no need to take any chances!!!
That's what the research tends to show.
It's a little more complicated than that, but plenty true.
