Ok I'm 36 y/o and I've been a lot of places and seen a lot of things. But I can NOT for the life of me understand, even the slightest IOTA where people like this are coming from. How can you live your life so bitter, angry and convinced that this country is just one large conspiracy that the people are just too blind to see? I don't get it!

Now I know someone may flame me for posting this but it's ALWAYS a good thing on the battlefirld to know what the enemy is thinking. It's even more important on the battlefield of ideas.

Bernard's fingers must have been pretty sticky after this huge fantasy was released from his mind.

Just so no one misses this about the author of this junk,

"Bernard Weiner, Ph.D., has taught politics and international relations at various universities, worked as a writer/editor with the San Francisco Chronicle, and currently co-edits The Crisis Papers."

Bunch of gerbil stuffers and crack addicts. In other words, one can't attribute rational thought to insane people. They're nuts.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa was a joke. They condemned the whites and all the Africans skated. They did not succeed in turning South Africa into a big ol' bundle of brotherly love, either.

Bishop Tutu has been on the stage too long. His fifteen minutes are up.

We don't have kangaroo courts in this country, for which we can all be profoundly grateful.

O.K., I'll admit, I didn't read your missive. I quickly scanned a few paragraphs before my gorge started to rise I and had to stop. As to your question..

How can you live your life so bitter, angry and convinced that this country is just one large conspiracy that the people are just too blind to see?

You can't start with position that the opposition is rational. They are not, not in any sense of the word. The only way they can do the mental gymnastics necessary to hold the insane ideas they possess is if...

1.The rest of society are too stupid to see the truth.

2.The rest of society is part of a conspiracy. Often noted as personal feelings of alienation or persecution (paranoid delusions).

3. Only through great personal effort (ranting, raving and generally making an overwrought emotional fool of ones self) can you rescue the unenlightened form themselves.

The bitterness and anger isn't the source of the problem, it's a manifestation of the internal struggle necessary to keep reason at bay so emotion can over rule common sense. Other self destructive behaviors will also manifest, alcoholism, drug abuse, physical violence against others...

When you force reason to take a back seat to emotion, don't be surprised when emotion and all of the negative aspects thereof take control.

Thats my $.02 view anyway.

"Restoration of Constitutional rule.".....

........."Bishop Tutu"

Right there is a contradiction in principles.....

I love how the commie SOB Libs try to link in every damn FOREIGN demagogue as some great symbol of OUR Constitutional principles. Perfectly capable of fitting in w/the principles of the Founders' Constitutional outlook.

Yeah, right.

"So everything we wanted we wrapped in the terms "national security" and "9/11" - and it worked like a charm."

Paraphrase that w/the Dem's favorite skirt to hide behind:
