Under Florida law, can't one take a video deposition to perpetuate testimony for a lawsuit to be filed. It is probably too late to notice such a deposition of Terri in the malpractice case.
The morphine is to suppress her breathing and expedite her passing as well as to suppress pain.

Dehydration often brings on serious spasms, that can even cause a fractured spine. It is normal to provide morphine to reduce the probability of such major spasms.

This is sensory deprivation, which has been officially declared a form of torture.
Prolonged sensory deprivation will cause even the strongest people to eventually go mentally insane and physically deteriorate.
So, not only did Mr. Schiavo deny Terri therapy, but he subjected her to prolonged sensory deprivation, which would have the effect of drastically worsening her condition.
I doubt filing any complaints that Terri was tortured via sensory deprivation would do any good, due to her being diagnosed as incurably PVS (a diagnosis I disagree with, BTW). Besides, starving and deydrating someone to death is officially considered torture too, but our government just doesn't seem to even care.
They could've done something to stop this, but all we got was a dog and pony show of judges and politicians who either sat on their hands, clapped their hands with glee, or stood by ineptly wringing their hands. We the people could've done something to stop this as well, but we tarried too long, because we were strung along by one false hope after another until it was too late. We believed the President and Congress had succeeded in intervening to save her, then our hopes were shot down. Then we believed Jeb Bush when he said he had the power to save her, but again our hopes were shot down. Then, we believed that DCF would surely step in to stop this abuse, and once more our hopes were shot down.
Now, it's too late, and I could just scream. If I'd known it would all turn out like this, I'd have gathered some lawyers, flown to Florida, and found some way to get her out of there years ago. I just honestly didn't believe they'd be allowed to kill her. They'd tried before and had always been forced to reinsert the feeding tube. I also did not know how badly Michael was treating her until now, but I should've. I should've known. I should've taken the time to find out. And, this will always haunt me because I didn't really go out of my way to do a damned thing. I called Jeb Bush's office and begged like a serf. I prayed, signed petitions, and ranted & raved. But, I didn't really do anything.

They told us that starvation was so euphoric? So painless.
Was Terri trying to register to her parents her distress and unbearable suffering once her feeding tube was yanked from her?
Are they drugging her up because she did try to tell her parents attorney last week that she wanted to live?
Are they afraid that it might take longer than dear husband Michael can wait to get remarried to his other woman, supposedly a very devout Catholic living in sin.
Morphine will undoubtedly kill her by slowing down her ability to breathe.
Who knows maybe the doctor thugs are putting something else in her drip line. they've never would give her an antibiotic for her infections, now anything to hasten her death.
