The boy deserves having his feeding tube pulled.
"Allowed to" They always say "allowed to" as if she is holding a knife to her own throat and those meanie nurses are holding her arm back by force. "MADE TO" is the situation at hand. "Forced to" would do.
For the record, I have overcome serious illness and injuries, I have an ex-spouse bent on making me go away for good (if you 'catch' my drift), and both of my parents are long since dead - all this before I turned 40.
As I said in the piece, if I were in Terri's condition, I would want to be let go, and that is what a living will (advance directive) - IN WRITING - is all about.
Did you, when you wrote this silly drivel?
I simply outlined the case in my piece and the subsequent replies I made to other readers. Read them and it will better explain and clarify the points for you.
Yes, as you decided to malign the brain-damaged and the greiving parents by trying to be a two-bit version of Mark Steyn. However, you haven't the talent to pull that off.
No Beta should ever qualify as a breeder.
What's your ex-spouse's address. We can send her some contributions.

Calling a disabled woman "Cabbage Patch girl" is despicable.
It is a tragedy to lose a child in this manner. On that front, I agree. It is important to keep in mind that binging and purging on TERRI'S part triggered her condition, and that at some point, one has to balance the two agonies I spoke of - one, being wilting away from lack of food and water, and the other being indefinitely trapped in a body that has in fact become a prison for her soul.
There is a part of me that would like to put my arms around the Schindlers as well - to encourage them to put this matter in God's hands and to take comfort that Terri's passing - when it happens - will bring to an end her mortal suffering and the lingering difficulties she endured for so long.
I had a sister who died in an automobile accident in 1990, and I will forever admire her husband's courage, who after being told they could do nothing more for her, gave the green light for an organ harvest in order that others could have another chance at life. These are the ultimate sacrifices that define the heroes in our society
" Terri would be in her hospice still being fed through her tube "
Terri's gastrostomy tube is redundant.
From the sworn affidavits of the nurses who cared for Terri-she can swallow and has been previously capable of taking liquids and soft foods.
In earlier videos, Terri is clearly swallowing.
If Judge Greer had not prohibited giving Terri anything by mouth, a long time ago, this whole question would be moot.
She would be like thousands of other disabled patients in nursing homes and rehab centers.
This is not withdrawing life support, this is purposeful starvation.
Using terms like ego masturbation and Cabbage Patch doll are not only insensitive, they are as grotesque as Schiavo and Judge Greer.
I am not pro-death; I just realize that on a case-by-case basis, there are some times when it is best to let go, and this - in my view - is one of those times.
I am not part of any left-wing or pro-death group. I think for myself and most of those pro-death/Kevorkian type groups can take the Slow Train to Hell for all I care.
Tell me, do YOU have a living will prepared so you don't become the NEXT Terri Schiavo?
It is people just like you who will help to usher in the new utilitarian age. I am amazed that anyone could stoop this low, to call a dying, disabled person names.
"cabbage patch girl"
Is that supposed to be funny? I pray to God that your daughter is never in the position that Terri is in today, and a wannabe writer refers to her as a "Cabbage Patch Girl". And no, this doesn't belong in "Breaking News". It belongs in the trash.

Unfortunately some are not so lucky. At least one has everyone in the government, and others condemning this person to death, despite what her wishes may be.
You cite the government as having the final say so in whether she lives or dies. I disagree.
There is another out there who has the greatest authority. Oddly enough not many are listening to the sanctity of life that he has put in place.
And odd that it should be happening during the most holy time of year.
Coincidence.... hardly.
Blessings to you.
You should have posted it as "breaking wind".
That's the ticket, eh? These "useless eaters" could be providing us with organs.
