My issue is with those who are apparently willing to resort to extra-legal means. That's a dangerous slippery slope. Where is your slippery slope concern with those using extra-legal means to kill Terri Schiavo? She is illegally in a hospice according to Florida law. Her husband/guardian is a common-law bigamist. The list could go on.

Unfortunately, the courts do not agree that the actions here are "extra-legal".
